I finally got around upgrading my jailbroken 2G "silver back" to the new 2.0 firmware... Few quick notes below

• Took approx 20 mins to unlock and jailbreak
• Can call, text and use gprs
• Can install 3rd party apps via cydia (waiting for installer 4)
• The phone has become a bit slower loading contacts, text MSG etc
• Apps randomly crash
• Safari randomly crashes

All in all, I'd recommended everyone who has a jailbroken iPhone to hang on a bit longer to avoid getting frustrated with the lag in the phone at times.
